Brad and Blair's Proposal- Gaylord National Harbor

About this cute couple:
Brad and Blair  are high school sweethearts! They started dating the summer before their senior year of high school and have been going steady ever since.  These two attended Christopher Newport University together where he majored in History and minored in Business and I majored in Business and minored in History.  Brad works as a Transportation Specialist for the government and Blair works as a Marketing Assistant for an engineering company.  I guess you can say they are complete OPPOSITES in every aspect of their lives.  As most guys, Brad LOVES sports, and Blair not so much.  He is a worrywart, and she is laid back and carefree.  He loves big cities, and I love the country life.  They balance each other out. As Blair comments, " We make each other better"

When they knew, they knew it was true love:

Blair:  I knew it was forever when I left a date with him literally in tears of pure happiness and bliss.  I remember driving home thinking to myself... this is it, he's the one.

Brad:  I knew she was the one when I realized I was perfectly content with staying at home every weekend with her... We have so much fun together just being lazy and goofy around the house.

What Blair loves about Brad:
1.  The way he makes me laugh
2.  His big heart
3.  The way he looks at me
4.  His big lips
5.  He'd do anything for me

What Brad loves about Blair:
1.  The way she laughs
2.  Her smile
3.  She's easy-going
4.  She's hard-working
5.  She'd do anything for me

About the proposal (acccording to Blair): I often ask myself what I did to deserve him? I was completely and utterly surprised!  I thought we were going up to DC to meet my godmom (aka. my fairy godmunster) and stay the weekend with her at the Gaylord because she was staying there for a business conference.  We were supposed to be going up to the rooftop lounge for drinks with some of her vendors that night when we arrived. We had gotten up to the lounge a little early so we got drinks and decided to step out onto the balcony and look over at the beautiful waterfront scenery.  Next thing I know, he's down on one knee .... and I said YES! To no exaggeration, it was everything I had ever dreamed of!   He had a VIP section set up with roses and chocolate covered strawberries and champagne flutes (which we ended up filling up with beer, classy, we know).

As if the weekend hadn't started out fabulous enough, the next day we went to the Zoo all day and had lunch at a little cafe in the heart of DC. That night we went to go see the Washington Monument lit up at night (we are history nerds and your typical tourists) and he had gotten some of our best friends to surprise me and celebrate with us!
Congrats to you both!
